Did anyone else see this news?

I might have to stock up.

yeo got the email today, i have a good backstock so not crisis LOL, but he thinks he will have a good replacement by the end of the year

I am just wondering what that replacement will be. Will it be a hard puck like the current soap? Or will it be a softer artisan soap?

Yikes! Wow. Well, as long as the scents stay alive...

He searched long and far for the perfect base to make his soap. I doubt he's doing anything less for the replacement.

High hopes my friends. [emoji106]

Craziness! I wonder if that affected Tabac as well?

Still never got around to the soaps...the AS and EDT were where it was at for me. Thankfully those are continuing!

Looks like beautyways (formerly 1beauty.us) still have the refill pucks for Lavender Pour Homme @$11. Without a 30-40$ order, it's not going to be worth it with shipping, though. I think they're in California. Ordered my LPH from them a year or so ago.

Of the free shipping options I know of (all full tubs):

The Razor company only has LPH left.

The Handlebar Supply Company has Santal Absolut, Italian Citrus, and Fresh vetiver.

Hope that's helpful to someone. [emoji846]

Was just looking on WCS and saw Fine Italian Citrus and LPH are in the clearance section. You have to add it to the Cart to see the price, so I did. Looks like it's $10.40.

WCS offers free shipping at $45 USD. So, 5 pucks at that price is all it would take. You should jump on it.

Fine soaps are on Maggard's Black Friday sale for $11.

Weird how a discontinued product is going on clearance everywhere... isn't it?

Either it’s fallen out of favor significantly since its release or making room for new stock/supplier....? 🤔

I think your right and it's both...

This iteration of Fine soaps has been around for quite a while. I'm guessing they don't expect an influx of shopping to get the last of this old soap base. Since Fine already said they'll be making it in a new base, time to make room on the shelves for the new, maybe even better version. At least that's a theory. [emoji6]

If Fine soaps and Tabac soap were manufactured by the same factory, and that factory has not been closed and the equipment sold for scrap, I wonder what the ramifications might be for the future of Tabac. I have a large puck if Tabac, cans plenty other soaps, so I'm not overly concerned, but just curious

from what i understand tabac has another place that they get theirs from also which fine didnt have a deal with so tabac from what someone on another site said should be okay.. Its just fine that has to get a new base manufacture

Some cursory searching yields nothing regarding Tabac soap being discontinued. If it ever is, I will be buying a crap-ton of it.

According to what I have found, Tabac is made in Stolberg. The closed factory is in Krefeld. Mäurer & Wirtz is part of the Dalli Group. The closed factory was owned by the Kappus Group. So, it appears that there is nothing to worry about for now.
