What makes them so “rare” and so much more expensive?

Do they shave any better than other straights??

The early models were ground by a master, these are very thin and even. The steel is very easy to hone. And they came in three great sizes.

As said, the grind and steel are just masterful.

Some day I'll own a tortise!

It is my favorite scale material. The scales on that #12 were from a CVH MK #31 that I found on eBay that was in horrible shape. I have a 7DS of 31s in tortoise, so I picked up these scales in case one from the set gets damaged.

This is one of my favourite filarmonica Tridur 8/8 . I don't think you can beat a good filarmonica . I rehoned this one with convexed hones and it shaves even nicer .
