DE blades

Rubies and Sliver Blues are my go to favorites for sure. Never tried the Polsilver ones. When I started a couple years ago it was Astra SP and Feather for me and I still have some of both along with enough blades to shave the US military force at least once.
Polsilver SI blades are my standard go-to top tier blade but somehow I have this distinct feeling you already have enough blades.

If I happen to find a blade that works better than another in one of my razors I usually buy 100 pack. Never got a Polsilver to try but they are on the list at some point for sure.

My favorites are, PolSilver SI, Gillette Silver Blue, Personna Israeli Red,Rapira Platinum Lux and Voskhod. Have 100 Gillette Rubies coming on recommendation to try.

Ditto for me with one exception. I’m not a huge fan of Rapira Platinum Lux blades. I just didn’t feel as though the performance was on par with the other four.

Kai, Polsilver, Perma-Sharp Super. Personna Platinum and Blue, Astra SP, Voskhod...all in the 100s for me.

If it’s a mild razor it will be a Kai or Perma-Sharp. Anything else will be a Polsilver or Personna to start...

@DocHoliday0831 recommended the Rubies and they are smooth and SHARP. They're now a favorite along with Pol Silver SI and Gillette Silver Blues
I did buy a 100 of the Rubies and 100 Nacet. I am on a run with my Paradigm DE using these two blades and dang the shaves are really nice. Six nice shaves on Rubie and now the Nacet--so smooth.

The one thing about living in an RV is the space is pretty much self-limiting as I found out when my soap and AS collection began to spill out from under the bathroom cabinet:rolleyes: and into a box I had to store elsewhere (now under the bed). Yikes. It was about that time that I began to cut down on new purchases. I am not saying the soap overflow and the curtailment of new purchases are necessarily causally related ;) though certainly these two things were coincident in time. Luckily blades are pretty small even in packs of 100. I do thank my lucky stars that I have not been smitten with either the Paladin Disorder (PAD) or the SE Acquisition Disease (SEAD). Just thinking about adding those gives me heartburn.

Besides 2 Injectors, I only have 1, count them 1 SE........The Vector. Take care Glenn

I've gotten grosses of Personna Platinum's, Astra SP, Voskhod, Gillette Nacet, Perma Sharp, and Super Max Platinum's. Out of these, my three favorites in order are Perma Sharp, Super Max, Nacet; I find that these three give me the best combination of sharpness without getting too rough if I'm out to lunch mentally for the shave and my technique is off. The others provide varying combinations of smoothness and sharpness, with Astra and Voskhod being the sharpest (and can lead to a rough shave if care is not taken) while the Personna's are much more smooth.

For longevity, without even trying, I can EASILY get 15 shaves off of an Astra, and likely would be able to push one through multiple months of shaves without much issue. Perma Sharps have shown promise for longevity as well without much work. But at this point, regardless of the blade, it will generally get tossed after 5 shaves.

I want to like the Polsilvers, but they are just a it tuggy for me.

The South African Minora blades are pretty good, sharp and long lasting but pricey.

I was a big Nacet fan, but am finding that Rubies are even smoother, and Sputnik's cheaper.

So right now those have been my most used four blades.

I was a Fatip user for quite a while and then found that PermaSharps and Silver Blues were best in them but don't like them nearly as well now that I'm using mostly vintage Gillettes.

The Rubie is Gillette's DE flagship IMO. Incredible blade, but then so are many others they currently make, The Sputnik is their entry level blade in Russia and IMO it's an OK blade, but I like their Astra SP better for the same price point.

Nacets and Rubies both are equal for me. I just tried a Derby Extra Stainless and it was a touch above the Astra SP for me but we shall see after multiple uses how it stacks up
