Way more than OK! Highly encouraged. Spread the word as much as possible!i just saw someone talking about CBL on sharp razor palace and couldnt resist posting about the new stuff over there. hope thats okay...
I certainly appreciate it. I know every artisan appreciates it when those who really enjoy their work share their experiences, it’s how a small brand stays alive. I’ve seen some great soap makers fade away due to not having enough business to support their work. Since none of use (except maybe @Spider) can possibly buy enough shave soap to keep any artisan in business on our own it takes US spreading the word and THEM providing great service and good products.i am constantly talking about the soap on any site that i visit and that doesn't ban us !!.........
Chris, since the whole kerfuffle have you picked up business?I certainly appreciate it. Yes, some. Not as much as I would like BUT the website traffic to both my business websites from the place that speaks not of CBL has spiked a lot. ...so has the volume of fake appointments made via my web system and email. Of course the fake ones are for after hours and on Friday after thanks giving.Chris, since the whole kerfuffle have you picked up business?

very good question.........Chris, since the whole kerfuffle have you picked up business?
Shipping to Canada isnt bad at all compared to most places. I forget the exact prices at the moment but I know that the first 8 ounces are about $10 then if you go over 8 ounces but stay under 33 ounces ( a pretty big range) the price jumps to $17. It’s possible the website projected a crazy price or he’s just assuming the cost is high. You would be amazed at the number of orders I’ve had this past month from Canada, many ordering just one tub at a time. I’ve been able to slip an extra puck of soap in an keep the weight below the 8 ounce threshold so they can get their $ worth. I made sure to set aside some extra pucks just for the Canadian orders. I end up making very little on many of the Canadian orders but when you consider how much they paid in shipping and currency conversion to give my soap a shot I figure it’s a fair trade...if I come out even a little ahead it’s a win win because I know they are going to like what they get.i just saw someone from over at sharp r palace say he went to your site but he is in canada and shipping was crazy.i told him your soaps are worth it
That's a good thought... Also, @mantic59 has been in the shaving community for a long time. I imagine he's has to have tried the old Tonsorial soaps. He'll definitely understand the product, and dare say I, appreciate it.I think Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (yes Chris even the Tweeter Machine has value) are going to be your biggest marketing tools. There are so many shaving groups on Facebook it's not even funny. When I post and SOTD it is usually just in my feed. I probably need to do a better job at post the CBL SOTDs to those groups also...not just my feed. That being said...my Instagram followers include a lot of soap makers, people who post a lot of SOTDs, and shaving related vendors. Not saying that I have a lot of followers, but it seems like every time I turn around some new person or business that is shaving related is following me.
Another thought...I don't know what his criteria is...but @CBLindsay have you thought about sending a soap or two for Mantic to try? After all @mantic59 is a member here. He has a pretty large following on his site and social media.
