CBL Premium Shave Soap - Anouncments

The hemp oil/dragon's blood sounds interesting to me. I don't think I have ever used a soap with hemp oil in it.

And being a Colorado resident... well, let's just say that anything cannabis related has ceased to bother me.

I think there would probably be a market for it.
 
My employer still does random drug tests. I actually had to let go one of my employees for distributing edibles at work. Not sure if hemp oil would cause it to enter a urine sample.
 
I’ve mentioned this before but i’ll Post it here too. Hemp seed contains ZERO THC, that’s a fact Jack. BUT hemp oil may very likely contain THC and it is possible to be there in unacceptable amounts. How are both statements true? Harvesting hemp seeds includes collecting plant material along with the seeds, the hemp plant does contain some THC (it has to have less than a given threshold to be allowed to be classas hemp) and when that plant material contaminates the seeds it can end up in the oil being collected. This means hemp oil can (if produced very well) contain no THC -or- it may contain a substantial amount. Testing can ensure oils being sold don’t have “too much” THC. I’m no expert and I really don’t care but from what I’ve read the processes and technology used in Canada tend to result in the lowest THC contamination.

I took a tablespoon of the hemp oil I got from Canada for several days then tested my urine for THC using a $1 test kit from the 99cent store. The presumably useless 1 dollar test proved I didn’t have a detectable amount of THC metabolites in my urine.

The soap I made has 3 ounces of hemp in 120 ounces of soap. I forget the exact numbers but I ran numbers assuming the hemp oil contained as much THC as typical Marajuana plant material. The result was shocking, the resulting amount of THC would be enough to make you fail a drug test (assuming it was well absorbed through the skin...which is not a far reach)

Perhaps i’ll Get this batch scented up with something and make it available. It’s good stuff.

Chris has also been happier since he started adding a tablespoon of hemp oil to his coffee.

maybe it’s BOTH.

a friend of mine suggested I start a viral challenge to hype my soap. If I piggyback on KJ’s pepper challenge (still ain’t feeling right) and have people chew a pepper then lick the ghost lime ... I think it could work.

Interesting idea! Or some kind of mildish pepper accompanied by a shave. Not sure how many folks would like soap lol.
 
Chris...as always I am late to the party. I have a couple of your soaps with hemp oil in it. I have used one of them a few times. To tell you the truth...I like it as well as your Ghost Lime that I purchased. It's good stuff...and not just saying this. I would be interested in trying Dragon's Blood as I have heard great things about the scent. As far as the hemp/THC thing goes. I am a government employee and thus cannot partake in drugs. That being said...I really could care less if there is a trace amount of THC in it and it MIGHT come through in a test. The chances of that happening are so minuscule. I do understand the apprehension to it by some though.

I guess the question to answer is...what does the hemp oil achieve? If it makes the product better or more marketable then I say go ahead. But if it doesn't really add anything to the soap...then why?

Either way...I think it is good stuff...not sure if it is better than what you have though!

Work for myself and think of firing me all the time. Other then that I agree with the thoughts of Don.
 
I LOVE Dragon's Blood! I have a couple Dragon's blood soaps (Honeybee and Mama Bear). The smell is deep and amazing. Honeybee's Dragon's Blood bath soap is good stuff too. I burn Dragon's Blood incense all the time as well. I really dig it. I'd love to get Dragons blood in a non M&P soap. I'm not sure if anyone else uses that scent in their soaps.

Here's a wonky thought........ Ghost Dragon! Kind of a fire & ice type thing. It could work. I'd try both!

You could piggyback on KJ's challenge by making a Scorpion Pepper scented shave soap with capsaicin in it and call it "Spider's Challenge." This assumes that you can extract the essential oils from the peppers, obviously.

Pair that with a bottle of Fine Snake Bite and it would be like shaving with Icy Hot.

There are warming agents in a similar vein as the WS-23 cooling agent. If (and i wont) i were to want to make a warming soap I would use those rather than cinnamon or capsaicin....I assume it would be more pleasing. Side note: A common muscle rub for horses (and their savvy owners) is absorbine JR, it is a capsaicin based product that burns like hell fire but does kill the pain and loosen muscles. I used to hate rubbing that stuff on my horses legs because it would make my hands feel strange for hours.

I have a good quality oil now so I can do dragons blood for sure. As for the Ghost Dragon, my international supplier has come through for me and acquired what you and I discussed. If nothing else I will make a tub for testing purposes. Good Idea's

As a side note.... If you desire anything unique check out alibaba. It is a tough site to use and it is designed for bulk buyers but they do have the unthinkable in unimaginable amounts. I was able to talk my supplier out of getting me a large drum full of what I wanted but it looks as it I will still be getting a massive amount.
