Okay so I was messing around with this ( not my Pic )
bullet tip micromatic.jpg
Mine actually has a little less plate loss on top cap.
Well I don't have Any blades that I have found that don't
seem to pull and tug. I took a DE blade and trimmed off
the side pieces a little and then broke it in half and fitted the
half blade under the blade stops and twisted the top down and
then proceeded to use it for todays shave.
I used Gillette Pure Cream and a Cremo horse hair brush along
with a Derby blade ( I probably should have used a better blade )
because although it plowed through a 2 day growth I felt a little
irritation after the shave..
I did a WTG and a XTG and even ATG on a couple of spots around
my mouth although I could have stopped after the initial WTG I
decided to see how far I could push it
The razor And Blade combo gave a Definite audio feedback which
I know some of you here have said you really like from a razor.
The blade Never moved after I twisted the cap down on it and it
didn't bend or bow at all.. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked.
I finished off the shave with a alcohol splash then used Nivea Balm
followed by another alcohol splash after I let the balm have a few
minutes to calm the irritation
Overall it was a very surprisingly good shave. I did have a weeper
when my little girl came in and startled me , but that's not the razors
fault that was mine.
