Brush Storage

Maybe this is a really stupid question, but how does everyone store the brushes you have? Right now, I have 10 different ones I use. A few came with some type of stand, and the majority will fit in a generic holder to dry. But, some like my Simpson T3 will not. I just leave them on the sink counter facing up; is there any better solution?

Yep rinse, wring out, shake it and beat it on a towel and set it down standing up works fine, or hang em if ya want. Your shave. your brush

you can get the suction cup double hook "towel hangers" similar to these

in plastic or metal and stick them to your mirror to store / hang your brush / brushes.. I have a couple of the plastic ones and I use them for brushes and or razors..

I use an old/antique postal stamp holder. They come in a wide range of sizes so you can find one to meet your needs. I put some shrink tubing on the little grippers but they are usually pretty easy on the brushes without it.
I store them bristles up because that fits more uniformly. The only issue I see with storing bristles up is they can collect more dust that way…it’s not like they don’t get washed with soap or anything

This is just an image from the internet but it is the kind i use. I dedicate a couple holders for razors and keep a few brushes out. My other brushes (once fully dry) are stored standing up tightly packed next to eachother in a little sleeve like box. I used an old small flat rate mailer box that i cut in half, it works great and keeps them safe in the drawer

Thanks, where did you find yours?

Mine just stand up on end on a shelf (actually several shelves). There is no need for them to be bristles side down to dry. Hanging is a choice not a requirement.

You could move to a dry desert climate like Dave and I did. My brush dries as I'm lathering my face....which I don't mind...its the electrical discharge that comes with the blade touching your face that takes some getting used to.

I have lived in Florida for almost 20 years, and spent over 25 in Pennsylvania. I am ok with desert, just do not want to see snow ever again.
