Until about ten years ago the only Dutch shaving soaps I was familiar with were the De Vergulde Hand and Kruidvat. The former is the oldest brand in the world - it’s been around for over 450 years and the latter is a very cheap poor quality pharmacy brand soap. Then I started discovering other excellent Dutch made brands such as this one.
Ease of lathering: 10/10–Terrific lather with minimal effort. It’s vegan based, I believe. Lots of slickness also.
Longevity of lather: 10/10–Never any stability issues. Multi pass shaves are no problem.
General skincare: 8/10–Very moisturizing - the postshave feeling is so comfortable.
Scent: 8.5/10–Very spicy with some clovey notes. I love it.
Price: 6.5/10–Not that cheap but not a bank buster either. I guess it’s because of the shipping costs from the Netherlands.
Would I buy again: 8.5/10–Most probably I would. This particular scent is lovely and the soap performs great.
And there you have it!
