Bingo Game #75: BLACK FRIDAY BINGO

Just a reminder, folks calls will be after 6 PM. Mst Probably closer to 7 PM this evening as I’ve got a busy day at the shop.

From prior discussions on this topic, I have come to believe that Arizona exists in its own Time-Space continuum that does not map out nicely onto most Americans’ concepts of a Time Zone
Something about how the sun works over there and the heat-time dilation. One hour outside is actually 3 due to the raw power of the sun.

I’ve resorted to just asking the internet/Siri “what time is it in Tucson?” Whenever a time issue comes up. I think they’re 2 hours behind the Eastern Seaboard during this part of the year

It will be funny when they get rid of daylight savings time those of us in Arizona will just be sitting back, drinking and laughing at the rest of you as you try to figure it out

Ya, Dave. It will be tough figuring out not changing the time.

Imagine Global Standard time
That's my proposal. Everyone just use UTC and figure it out. Someone works from 2am-10am, someone in another part of the world is working from 3pm-11pm. It's just a label of time, not mandating when anything gets done.

But just imagine the insanity of figuring out what time of the week it is when it’s Dave’s Monday, my Wednesday 🤯

Doesn’t China mandate one time zone for the entire country?

Also I think it would be weird to say, we use UTC here, so the sun rises here around midnight and sets about 12 hours later a noon.

Weird for a while, then I would think people would get used to it. Maybe not old grumps like Dave, but especially young 'uns that grow up with it. Time is just a concept, man.

Kinda like people that never thought about the 24hr clock and then get into healthcare or the military and they are manually calculating that time 22:00 is.

Hey bonehead, I used UTC Zulu time for 20 years in the military. I think it would be you that gets confused like you do every week for our show.
