Day number 40 of the Williams shave soap exile
IMG_2874.jpeg
Well, it’s not exactly 40 years wandering the desert like the people of Israel, but, spending 40 days wandering the Williams desert seems just as bad

With no end in sight based on the eighth of an inch of puck with no breakage yet who knows when this will end

A very good shave as always, but just boring, boring, boring

Have a great day

Day number 42 of my captivity of Williams
IMG_2881.jpeg
Was a good shave DSBBS but I am noticing that the GEM blades by persona seemed to fall off a little bit quicker than the lab blue. More testing after this captivity is over with.

The only good news is is the puck is finally contouring to the bottom of the shave bowl and it’s looking to be a little bit translucent so maybe the end is in sight but I’m not too optimistic

I am looking forward to burning the Williams box on my videos once it’s over

Looking forward to a zoom call tomorrow last chance to get signed up we’d love to see you and everybody. Have a good day.

day #43

03.15.2026.JPEG, so
Well, The puck is now completely formed to the bowl and is becoming a bit translucent, YAY! It could be showing the beginning of the end of captivity. Still, of course, providing a great lather and shave, but sooooooo looking forward to the end of this madness

At the Ranch:
A walkabout this morning to assess the needs for pre-fire season stuff,as it is getting too hot, too soon. A lazy Sunday doing laundry for the shop and home, a Zoom call later, a few Cigars, some coffee, and so fortth. Had a rare fried egg Sandwich on Sliced Cheesecake Factory Rye, so the day started well

Have a great blessed Sunday

With is being the "green holiday" AV Frost Lime was also a change.... Based on Today I cannot wait to get excited about daily shaves again

Hey, guess what we’re shaving with?

IMG_2911.jpeg
The good news is is you can actually see completely through the puck now as it’s wafer thin

So I figure another 4 to 5 days before I get to burn this box and actually get onto some really nice shaves

As always, the shave was good, but boring

Have a good day folks

Day number 47
IMG_2914.jpeg
Well, the challenge continues however good news on the horizon. The soap finally started to break apart, so I figure another 2 to 3 shades maximum and then I can burn the box.

Not sure if it’ll make it to the weekend, but we shall see

It is a joyous time to move on from this stupid challenge. What was I thinking!

Have a good day folks

Day #49
IMG_2917.jpeg
Well, chasing the rest of the soap around the shave bowl has begun. I think it’s probably got one more shaving and I’ll probably call it at 50 shades tomorrow but we’ll see how I feel.

Good shave today with the Gillette tech however I am noticing after about three weeks with the gem diamond glide from persona that the blade is falling off much quicker than the persona lab blue but we’ll try it in another razor and see how it does

Have a good day folks

Day #50
IMG_2920.jpeg
Well, the day has finally come 50 days is a prisoner of Williams’s mug, shave soap and it is finally over. I chased the last chips around the lather bowl and got a fairly decent ladder, but I figured it was not worth chasing anymore so gladly and excitedly and waking up the entire house at 5 o’clock in the morning, I screamed as I poured the rest of the soap what little there was that had not emulsified into the sink and down into the sewer where it belongs

What I’ve learned in this 50 days as I will never, repeat, never be a minimalist or a one shave soap type of person. Not to mention a one type of razor or a one type of brush person so was it a learning experience yes. Was it fun? Well sort of. Was it boring absolutely.

Williams is a good soap provides a fantastic shave very good slickness highly recommended, but do not do it until the puck is gone because you will begin to hate Williams

Anyway, back to regular programming and regular shaving starting tomorrow and tune into the YouTube channel cause I’m gonna burn the box

Have a great day folks

The Demon has been exercised, and the Williams Captivity is finally over after 50-days. Time to get back to proper shaving. N.O. Rainroot has become a favorite and was especially nice today. Glorious lather removed by the Ice Dragon. DSBBS, and followed by EF talc, and Radiant Bergamot. Also nice to be wearing fragrances again. OH How I have missed this!

At the Ranch:
hot, hot hot Today will be spent mostly indoors, with laundry, some coffee, some cigars, and the U of A vs Utah St. game this evening. I am not much into Basketball or March Madness, but will always support the Alma Mater. BASEBALL season starts soon WOOHOO, and if Spring Training is any indicator should be a good season. One gripe is the ABI system, ruining baseball IMHO and taking the human part of the game away

Also, with the original MWF Tallow version of the shave soap, followed by omega after shave gel and royal yacht EDT

A mellow version of blue de chanel. With a little bit better in my opinion
