Artemis launch

After my last post, I had a chance to watch the launch on YouTube. I was just spellbound, seeing it.
 
Seeing those folks floating around I have two questions.

1) Why pants and not shorts? They control the environment and that would be less weight and bulk.

2) What’s with the belts? It’s not like their pants are going to fall down.

Skin cell shedding, scrapes and cuts on equipment, blood drops bad in space, warmth

there is stlll air flow and you can attach stuff to belts that are velco to not have crap float away, also in close proximity and you bump someone you dont want pants floating around, or Mooning when going to the moon
 
The early images coming back have been really amazing. Does anyone know if they’re all available in one place? I’ve been seeing them piecemeal from news outlets
