Anyone else have to shave twice a day?

I know the weather's turning, once I have to start shaving twice a day. And this past week, I have started my twice a day routine. (I'm assuming its not accelerated growth, but the skin reacting to the colder weather we've gotten, thus tightening the skin and "pushing" the stubble out; versus the summer months, when the skin is pretty supple.)

I do especially if I’m planning to go out for the evening. My beard grows very fast, but I typically just stick to a daily or every other day shave. Yep winter time really seems to accelerate the growth.

I haven't shaved twice a day since boot camp, in boot camp I had to shave 3 times a day. Terrible. I'm usually a daily shaver or every other day, I enjoy my shaves best when I have about 30 hours of growth.

Your pores in your skin expand in summer and constrict(tighten up) in the winter. That is why in @BarberDave shave tutorials he recommends Coldwater shaves. Makes the stubble stand straight up more. Especially with a straight or open comb de razor it will be easier to get to bbs shave because it will shave closer than a warm water shave. Great for beginners. Hot shaves have their benefits also though. Softens hair helps to cut easier, but might night be as close because hair and pores are so relaxed hair lays down a little. So in all situations good lather and shave techniques are highest priority. I find lather and shave technique is most critical above all else.

Oops forgot something. Answer to question. I shave once a day usually on work days, but twice a day during weekends. 3 times on special occasion days, why. Beard growth is very fast. Can have a full beard in 9 days that requires a no. 2 trimmer comb on my whal hair trimmer to maintain beard length I prefer. Shave at 6 am . Have 5 o'clock shadow by 1 o'clock
