All My Soaps

Wow KJ...I wouldn’t know what to do with that much soap...maybe just sit around and sniff them all day haha!

I’m currently in the same boat as Bruce. 9 soaps and about 10-15 samples. I have a lot of catching up to do!

As was mentioned already, you have a lot of great stuff in that pic Bruce. The only thing I would ditch would be that Red Sox mug ???

Ya'll make me feel better and that I'm obviously not over doing it at all.

That treasured mug is a Genuine 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Champion collector's item, though its value may be hurt by the three championships that followed. BTW, the baseball is signed in the sweet spot by Mr. Luis Tiant.

Been a Red Sox fan since 1967, when my family moved to Connecticut for my father's last USCG duty station before retiring. I was 10 years old and fell in love with the Sox that summer. They lost the WS to the Cards in 7 games and I was crushed. Took a few years, but finally got to see them win it all.

Too many choices gives me anxiety. When I have too many soaps, I don't enjoy them as much as when I only have a few.

I agree, Aaron. For me, the whole point is to enjoy my shaves. I like good gear, but I have four razors, 4-5 brushes, 11 soaps, and 7 AS. Time to reduce my soaps and AS.

I can appreciate the simplicity of minimalistic dens....... but I just like variety too much.

I have about the same number of soaps and I just started DE wet shaving about 2 months ago. The bug hit me hard. There are so many soaps out there and I want to try them all. Just got my first CBL soaps today and I am excited to try one out on my morning shave.

It all started with a simple google search for a can of mentholated barbasol crap in a can. Cartridges and can soap is all I knew for 30 years and now my eyes are wide open. I never really enjoyed shaving until now. I actually look forward to my next shave.

I did the same thing early on. Before I knew it, I had 20+ soaps, but just a few favorites. Over time, I winnowed it down and now stick with a few tried and true soapmakers. I try different flavors from these few, and venture out whenever something catches my eye, within a certain price point. If something costs $5 more/tub, I ask myself if it gives me that much of a better shave.

I look forward to shaving now, too. It is one of life's treats now. I bet you'll like CBL; it has joined my stable of favorites.

Enjoy your shaves, and Merry Christmas!

I tried doing that for a few years. Then I wanted to explore some of the newer artisans and see what had changed in the world of artisan soaps. I wanted to see if I was missing out on anything. I was! There are so many good soaps out there, and many artisans are doing unique things with oils, butters, and scents. It’s a whole new era!

I began wetshaving in the spring of 2012. The soap and AS market has really exploded since then, hence my overabundance of both of them. So many excellent choices.

I get it and respect it.........................My generous spirit, desire to over utilize space and desire for variety have dictated mine
