All My Soaps

I currently have 10 unused soaps, the most I've had on hand in years. Currently using an amalgam of soap scraps and remnants that I call My Special Blend 2 (MSB2), so that makes 11 soaps. I need to pare this down considerably. No soap purchases for me!

Queen Charlotte?? Don’t see that too often! That’s some good stuff. I have one tub of Vostok left.

Pare down? You have a very manageable amount of soap.

Too late to pare it down...gotta keep going.

Its like those old TVs that you had to change channels in a linear fashion. Click though quickly and if you went too far you just had to keep going.

That's their icy cold one, right? My son used that and loved it. I don't favor copious amounts of menthol, prefer to not get chilled skin. QCS made quality soaps; it's a shame they closed up shop. They had a customer for life with me.

I'll keep going till I'm down to low single digits. I'd like to get it down to one or two.

I suggest you do it one shave at a time

That's the only way I know: one shave at a time, and one puck at a time. They are all proven performers.

Ah! But it's a very nice collection of soaps! There isn't a single one there that I would get rid of!

All nice soaps, enjoy the paring down.

The most unexpected surprise in the group was Local Gent Shaving Co. This is my third or fourth puck from them, and the lather is superb. Quite a bargain, right up there with Fine soaps.

Well that’s a relief..... when you said pare down, I assumed (and I think everyone else did too), that you were going to sell some of them to reduce your numbers.

I've never re-sold any shaving product. Sorry if I inadvertently mislead people to believe I was anxious to reduce my numbers. My shelf space is limited, so I store unused shaving gear (razors, brushes, and soaps) in a linen drawer. Over time some get shoved to the back of the drawer, eventually forgotten. I cleaned out the drawer yesterday and was surprised at what I found.

Holy Cow!! That would make me just plain crazy. Do you have a favorite? I see you like variety...

CBL, Stirling, and Soap Commander are what I own the most of. And honestly speaking I'd be fine with just those 3 makers. In that mix is an Excellent veggie soap, an excellent Tallow soap, and an excellent Tallow soap with added butters for superb face feel.

But there are so many awesome soaps out there hence why I end up with so much. So I keep buying.

Not that you need more, but have you tried Mike's Natural Soaps? It's one of my favorites. His Barbershop is my go-to in that scent.
Excellent Lime flavor in his stable, too.

Here’s all of my soaps as well. Well, not really. Doesn’t include my briefcase full of modern Williams.....

That Williams drawer is looking awfully empty...it should be stacked at least another layer or two.
