Aftershave of the Day

Mm. Yes. That's very good.

The finale of the reserve collection. There is a reason this one is constantly sold out and overpriced everywhere else. With the idea of sweet rum and fruity notes it looks uninteresting to someone like me. But, reading the notes officially put out, it not only has fruity notes with plum being there, but in the base there's Frankincense and Myrrh, and with hidden, unwritten notes like Oakmoss (you can tell because it has that infamous burnt musk smell at the start) and potentially having some hidden bay rum mixed in the back, this makes for a shockingly pleasant splash.

A very mature, romantic, yet refreshing scent. It's not my favorite of the reserve line, that title goes to Gent's Gin, but this is undeniably the best of the show. Any man of any age, at any season or time of day, can wear and enjoy this.

How's this smell? Been trying to get my hands on a good bottle
Give me a few days to get back to you on this.. Currently experiencing COVID for the third time and my sense of smell is out of whack. Things that I remember from initial sniff upon first receiving it was a warm musk swimming in the traditional Yardley DNA

Avon Sports Rally Bracing Lotion

So, I finally got around to wearing this. Surprisingly, the juice is blue and it's rather mild for "bracing". This is one of 3 bracing i believe that avon ever made.

After finally wearing it, this stuff smells like an old school interpretation of what sports cologne smells like. There's no notes list but going with my nose i can guess that this is a blend of Lavender, Bergamot, possibly sage but I'm not 100%, oakmoss for sure, and i want to think there's Juniper or pine. I recognize it by the dry soapiness, but it could be something else. There's a Spice in here somewhere, which might be either nutmeg, which was popular around that time, or clove.

This is very, very refreshing. No tobacco or leather to oppress the senses, this is a clean, old school "sporting" splash. Much fresher than Boss Sport and Lacoste original, but also much more relaxed than polo. This is a keeper for summer.

Avon Blend 7. I have the ram head decanter.

Ooh boy. I do not like this one. The notes had a lot of promise but when I put it on and sniffed it, I got a really bad headache. No, really. This is a crazy macho soapy blend of anise, sandalwood, and oakmoss with some other floral notes (Possibly galbanum).

It tries too much despite how simple it comes across. Not for me at all.
