Aftershave of the Day

I had to look that up. I though flanker might have been a type of bottle. Never heard that word used for the other flavors.
Flanker just means any "side" release under the same name as a main fragrance.

Meaning, you've seen something like... Polo Green, right? A flanker would be called Polo and something else, so for example, there's polo red, polo blue, polo black, and each version has their own flankers.

Regarding Mennen, there's Mennen Skin Bracer, the OG Green one, then there's Mennen Skin Bracer Musk, Skin Bracer Sport Talc, Skin Bracer Lime, etc

Cool Spice is one of my favorites.

Mennen Afta Fresh. Picked up for cheap at my local Walmart

Not really a big fan of this. It feels fine, but there's no Menthol or alcohol for bracing. Another thing I don't like is the smell. It smells like every animalic 80s cologne but diluted, akin to Aramis, YSL Kouros, and Quorum.

If anyone wants a similar experience but better, for about a dollar more, get Gillette sensitive balm in the blue squeeze bottle. Smells genuinely fresh (the staple generic Gillette smell), feels exactly the same but a little looser, and has Menthol.

This is definitely on it's way out and I'll be looking for Afta Original, which might smell better.

I know this has been around for years, but I've never tried it. I've tried plenty of legacy shaving products from grocery stores and pharmacies, but this one for whatever reason I didn't pick up. Maybe its because it comes in a gray container, not see through? Thanks for the mini review.

Usually aftershave conditioners/balms are in plastic squeeze containers that aren't see through, because they're gel. Aftershave lotions and splashes are typically in clear glass.

And you're welcome. Everything i say is with honesty and experience. Even me comparing it to other colognes, I know this because I actually own... and dislike them, so no need to lie.

Florida Water Cologne Aftershave Tonic
Is that an actual thing from Murray & Lanman, a different brand, or something you might have made yourself?

I ask as I also enjoy the scent of Florida Water but have never seen it as an aftershave, only the original splash cologne.

Hm, that gives me an idea to do a comparison series of all fragrances named florida water...

It's a homemade concoction which includes M & L along with a few of my own distillates and diluting liquid.

... Clubman Pinaud...

I don't want to be "that guy" with a differing opinion but I don't quite like it now that I really use it. Don't get me wrong, it feels nice and is classic as can be, but from the bottle it smells... mellow, nice, like an aftershave tonic. When I put it on that stank came back. That weird, burnt, cannabis musk that was present in Brandy Spice came back, and then it just smelled like barbershop antiseptic. Which, really, isn't fair because almost everything in a barbershop tries or just does smell like Pinaud. The thing is, I do like moss and oakmoss, LOVE it even, but this didn't do it.

What sealed it's fate was that after stepping out from shaving and put it on my younger brother and mom both said the same thing: why does it smell like lotion in here?

Not a pleasing statement to hear and it confirmed my bias: This isn't for me. Whiskey Woods so far was really nice but this is going to join it's Brandy Brother on the way out.
