7th Annual February "One Blade" Challenge!

So I came to revisit yesterday’s starry eyed 🤩 endorsement of denim strop. The edge o treated that way is very smooth, but isn’t cutting much anymore. Did a side by side on each side of my face today and the difference was obvious to touch.

Might need to try one of these inside of the glass hone tricks before the week

20. I’m really surprised how this blade is doing. I’ve not pushed this far to my memory. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes now. I presume the coating is pretty much spent by now. It’s all blade from here on?
 
I'm on my 1st blade with 20 shaves on it today. The blade super smooth and still going strong. I will see how far this blade will go. If my history with Personnas is any indication.... this could last a very, very long time.
 
I got 28 shaves from the Treet black beauty carbon steel blade.

I used 1 blade for the whole month, and managed to keep it from rusting.

By the end, one edge had basically stopped shaving me all together. It was very smooth, but did not remove any hair, even with some pressure. Thankfully the other edge was good and lasted the whole month.

I’m glad I tried this challenge with a new type of blade. Next time maybe I’ll give the glass hones a go and see if it does anything.

29 shaves and it would have been longer, but you talked me into buying the Personna GEM Diamond glides LOL
 
I’m at 22 on a Gillette Platinum. I skipped a couple days and it was a bit tuggy this morning, but still plenty serviceable. I’m going to press on. Maybe turn the blade and see how that goes. It was great @ couple of days ago. I suspect I could do better prep.

I just got my Diamond Glides too. Watching you guys with great interest
 
22 shaves. Doesn't feel like I've made a dent in it. I probably shouldn't with this few shaves on it, but every morning I'm impressed with how smooth the diamond glide is.

After the month using the Treet, I went back to the Personna PDG blade I had been using before the challenge began and it feels great. I now have 45 shaves on the blade and don’t see it stopping anytime soon.
