6th "Annual" February "One Blade" Challenge!

27th shave on the Wizamet today. I can tell that it's lost some of its sharpness, however it's still giving me great shaves. Will take it on to at least 30 and then reassess.
Stick with it.....KJ and I have made it past 100........KJ of course is on the yearly plan.

I missed a couple of shaves, but think I finished the month with 25 shaves on my Voskhod.

The formal portion of the challenge is over, but the question is..... will you continue?

Try to see how many shaves you can actually get and then challenge yourself more the next time. Your results may surprise you!

Ended the month with 25 shaves on the Accutech Pro gem blade.

Interesting to watch the blade progress over the course of the month. It started pretty sharp for the first 1-3 shaves. Then hit a nice mellow point for the next 12 shaves or so. By 15-25 I could tell the blade wasn’t cutting as well as it had been, but technique to the rescue.

Fun month using only GEM style razor. Thanks for organizing the challenge KJ!

I decided after this morning's shave to forgo any more sessions with this blade. Didn't get a "bad" shave, but after three passes I did have irritation on my neck. Tossed it in the blade bank and loaded a fresh Wizamet. 28 shaves total on the blade.

I stopped with February partly so I have some for next year (not that I made any significant dent in it), and partly spider's fault for sending me a box full of new stuff to try!

45 shaves so far on my Voskhod. I'm sure Steven is still going. Anybody else?
Nope....I swapped out blades when I got back from Tennessee. The final total was @120 shaves. Probably could have started a new blade for February.
