Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Lord Captain (2)
Soap/cream: Col. Conk Lime
Brush: Fine Stout Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Pinaud Lime Sec

Well today was a shave where I pulled out the under the bed storage and let my daughter pick the soap. She grabbed the Conk! I know this soap gets a bad rap but honestly it is actually a good soap. Low tier 2, but the newer formula is low tier 1 actually. If you haven't revisited Col Conk since before you first started you should throw a puck in the next time you place an order. The shave today was very good, and very LIMEY!

Well the marriage retreat went very well yesterday we really enjoyed it. For those of you that are Catholic or understand Catholic ranks so to speak will understand the importance of the Bishop of the diocese made an appearance at the end of the event and actually conducted mass. He then called up all the couples who were in attendance and renewed our marriage vows and gave us a nice blessing. Events like this I find important. Always should be working on your marriage in my opinion, we had couples there who had 4 years of marriage all the way to 53 years. It was entertaining. In other news because of attending mass last night we aren't obligated to go this morning, so I am taking the time to get caught up on TSC and some videos. But later I need to install a doorbell camera. My home security system tried to increase the price on us so I called to cancel and they lowered the price and sent some upgraded tech, one of which is the doorbell camera my wife has been wanting one, so that is on the agenda today. Shouldn't be too difficult of an install I am sure. Have a great sunday cadre.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

The marriage retreat sounds like a really good idea Chad. I’ll have to look into that. The wife and I were both raised Catholic (she did 12 years of Catholic school) but we haven’t been active in the church since long before we met each other. I’ve been thinking about getting more involved lately.

Also friends of ours have a doorbell camera and they love it. From what I understand it’s a very easy install. Good luck!

I like to think of smaller earthquakes as letting off some pressure instead of building up to the big one. That’s my story.

A winning weekend! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday Chad!

Thanks Chris I did.

Start going back, and find out who your Grand Knight is for your KOC council. Attend a meeting and see if re-energizes your faith. And yes the camera was a breeze to install.

Nice read and nice doorbell Chad

Is there any other way to test a doorbell camera?

That is exactly what I told my wife.

Well today I opted to forego the bad blade series for a day and do the Speed Challenge. I finished in like 4 min and 40 seconds. It felt fast but I don't remember how I compared to others. Also apparently I have a nice head bob lol. I also started the March Themes in the Soap/Cream Sub-Forum for those that mentioned they were interested.

Back to the daily grind at work, and a pretty busy morning with lots of travelers from HQ in town today. So been away from the computer/cell phone more than normal due to meetings etc. I have plans to get to the post office today to ship some items and then play dinosaurs with Connor. He said we have to play when I pick him up from school. So that is what I will do.

Have a good one cadre.

Well today was the first shave in about 5 days. All the site maintenance and illness basically kept in bed longer in the morning before I had to actually get up and start going. So shaves were skipped, plus with no where to document it just wasn't the same. Crazy how much I truly enjoy interacting with everyone here. So obviously everything is all new, hope you all like it. Still minor changes to come but we will be rolling those out. Let me just say they are great. I am hoping to start the bad blade reviews tomorrow or Saturday backup. It didn't feel right doing those without the site up and running. Thank you all for your patience and sorry about the delays, but I hope as you can see it was a BIG undertaking.

So as previously mentioned I have been sick. Pretty much all week, Monday being the worst day and each day progressively starting to feel better. But then of course both kids woke up today with fevers and coughs so I guess it is there turn. Going to make for a long weekend. And don't worry the site was down long enough to get to spring, a snow storm hits tomorrow. They are calling for 3-5 inches. So I guess no warmth yet. Has anyone found that groundhog?

Have a good day cadre.

Sorry to heal about illnesses on top of everything else. Good to have you back!

Now, you not shaving for 5 days, Don not shaving for a week. I think some of you guys need to be re-initiated into the group!

Boy it feels good to be back. I am just shocked at how patient everyone was.... Lol! We all had withdrawals!

Sorry about the illness for you and The family. Heal up and for crying out loud you are a part owner of a shave forum......SHAVE 😂

I know I know! Gonna shave in the morning and hope to make it a bad blade shave.

Hope you mend up soon man. Good work on the site!

Thanks Chris. Thankfully I am feeling better minus this nagging cough. But didn't help that that my daughter decided to refund dinner so looks like the BRAT diet for her tomorrow

Hope everyone is feeling better soon Chad!
Great work from you guys on the site. I really like this platform and it doesn't seem as "sterile" as the other was. Thanks for all the work you guys do!!!

Bummer about the sickness. Hopefully the kiddos get over it soon 🤢. And what’s up with everyone not shaving?!? If the site we’re down any longer you and @dangerousdon would look like cavemen...

I guess Mr. 3 names doesn't remember when I "grew" a goatee LOL.

Hope everyone is feeling better soon Chad!

Thanks Shawn. Happy you are enjoying the site.

Well I had every intention to shave today. I had the blade chosen, the soap ready to go, and had just got out of the shower. When I heard that lovely sound that parents hate... 🤮 yup Connor had tried to make it the bathroom but made it to the hallway. Then Sadie wakes up, and fever still at 100.2 so needless to say the shave did not happen. I will try again tomorrow. The household is on lockdown and quarantine until further notice.
