Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Come on dad, you’re suppose to have the replacement beta ready to go!

Glad about the snow and sorry about the fish. 35 days paid vacation........................always jealous of people that have any. I haven't had any since I moved south and started working for myself in 1986

Hope today is better for you !

You need to give yourself a raise and some PTO man!

Oh some of you might not remember the fish dilemma from 2ish years ago. So here ya go:

Connor wanted a fish. He was like 2.5. So grandma bought him a betta and the tank etc. Connor is down for a nap. While he is sleeping my wife and I grab the tank and take it downstairs to clean it. While cleaning the tank I go to take the fish out, and we didn't have a net at the time. So I used a slotted spoon. Now in slow motion the fish jumped off the spoon and hit on the hardwood floor. Not moving! I quickly pick it up and put it in the cup of water. It is floating belly up! He has had the fish maybe a month. So I hop in the car and rush to the pet store hoping to get back before he wakes. I find a fish the same color and buy it. Get home and guess what... The fish that attempted suicide is now swimming in the cup! I grab the receipt, and look... no returns on bettas. GREAT!!!! So I head back out to buy another tank. So he had two tanks for awhile, since bettas will kill each other. LOL.

35 days vacation? Do you work for a Greek company, I understand the Greeks really enjoy their time off work.

That Honey Mash soap sounds wonderful. The ingredient list leaves me thinking it might take a little more effort to lather but should produce a rich lather.

I will say i love the company I work for, and the people. But I do feel it is time for a new position. It is hard to think about going to another company and giving up 35 days of paid vacation.

Any chance of transferring to a different position within the same company?

A very thirsty soap that gives an excellent lather with a little extra work. I have worked here long enough that I get that much vacation. I start each year with 28 days and this year I rolled over 7 days. So started with 35 this year.

That is exactly what I am looking into. And yes.

Sorry about the fish, but that is a funny story haha. I hear ya about the paid time off. I currently get 25 days and a lot of leniency when it comes to leaving early or coming in late for personal stuff. Hard to give that up.

I’m just wondering when the beta testing will finish and they can move in to the final consumer product.

Home front

Well I feel like an a$$ is the best way to describe it. Let me explain... Currently at work starting today is year end delivery day. So I'm delivering year ends, providing raises, and annual bonuses. As a manager it sucks doing these reviews because some love you and others hate you. Anyways during my review today. My boss told me that she understands my job has changed drastically and I'm doing more than is expected. So I was promoted and advanced two paygrades. I was blown away and based off my feelings lately and in some of my posts I was feeling so underappreciated that it all changed today. I'm man enough to admit it brought a tear to my eye. So needless to say I guess I'm sticking in this area for a little longer.

Busy today and tomorrow as I deliver more reviews. But should be caught up and on more after this week is over.

Have a good day cadre.

That is so AWESOME Chad. I could read between the lines and tell it was getting emotional. Means everything to at least be recognized.......pay raise is a nice recognition too ?

That is amazing news Chad. Sounds like a great company. Seems like you don't hear about things like that very often anymore.

Great googly moogly!!! That's awesome! You be havin' biscuits AND gravy tonight!
