Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Burning a candle at both ends finally meet and kill the candle Chad. Hang in there

Very true. I am getting by.

Hope you get to enjoy the weekend!

Snow brother... snow.

A little PTO is always a great way to settle your mind, especially in a hot soaking tub! That’s a crap ton of snow you got!

True Rich. I am ready for a day. Hoping to take one soon, where I can relax.

Hope things turn around for you soon Chad. At least you’re getting some nice shaves in!

I am getting some nice shaves at least.

To be honest Chad...I have no idea how you do everything at your normal pace. Kids, Football/Basketball, ,wife, work, KoC, church, friends and family (in random order of course). Seriously...I don't have kids or the hobbies you do, nor the social commitments, and I still feel like I have too much on my plate sometimes. Get through basketball and hopefully things will calm down a bit for you! The wife and I will say a prayer for you!

Well Don when you put it like that LOL. Yes things get busy around here, but I do enjoy it. This basketball season hasn't been the best for me with the politics and I am ready for it to be over. But once on the court I love the game and just love it! If the politics weren't involved it would be much better

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Vincent VT300B (1)
Soap/cream: Barrister and Mann Latha (Black Label)
Brush: Razorock Barrel Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Chiseled Face Trade Winds

Well today was a bad blade review and it is bad. You can head over there to hear about. I ended with a socially acceptable shave. I really enjoy the Latha line from B&M and they are really the only scents of theirs I like.. aside from Adagio. My lather was great and overall the shave was nice.

Had a nice haircut today and chat with my barber. Always enjoy the barber. Had a triple header yesterday and the games went well. Did the Sophomore, JV, and Varsity game. Today I am heading out soon to go do another Varsity game. Then off til Wednesday as far as basketball goes so that is nice. Hope you all have a great day.

I'm with Don. I couldn't handle that full a plate, but my personality is a little hi strung like I picture Don's. Chad is laid back enough to handle it and I admire people like that. Level headed and calm balance out us nuts in society

Wait...what just happened here? I go from not being dangerous in one thread to high strung in another...

I don't know man your life seems pretty busy with all those muffins you are expected to eat.

I wasn't going to say anything but...

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Vincent VT300B (2)
Soap/cream:Haslinger Schafmilch
Brush: Stirling Finest bulb
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Chiseled Face Trade Winds

Well today I reached for some Haslinger soap, as my skin has been a little dry with all the wind and extreme cold we have been getting. The extra protection was well received and I really enjoyed the lather. I haven't tried any of the newer Haslinger since they reformulated and dropped the tallow, thankfully I have quite a bit of the tallow on hand. The shave today went okay as far as the razor is concerned. But it did get a trash rating.

Well up and at em today, headed to mass, then stayed behind to help with the Knights weekly coffee and donut bar. Today's services were more full than normal which is always a good thing, but we did sell out of donuts earlier than normal. Now back home and relaxing with the family and prepping for the storm this evening. Predicting 3-6 inches of snow and looking forward to that. This has been one of the strongest winters in recent memory. This should really help our drought situation though. Anyways off to read some more TSC. Have a good day Cadre.

Sounds like you’re bad blade series finally found another bad blade ???

We’re predicted to get anywhere from 1-6” tonight also Chad. Hoping for the lower end of that prediction. Enjoy your Sunday!

Thank you. We ended up with about 4-5 inches. But it all came so fast. Made the roads pretty treacherous

Sold out of donuts?!

Oh it was a definitely a big deal. The few families that came down late were given coffee and chocolate milk for the kiddos at least.

Sadly for February 11th, 2019 I am out in the world all scruffy!

The storm hit later than expected and went all through the night. Which meant I had to wake up early and go clear the snow off the driveway. Even though I removed about 3 inches last night still had a few more and drifts to remove this morning. Then a quick look at the traffic cams showed it was going to be rough ride into work. White knuckles on the way in but made it safely and the family made it where they needed to be as well, so all is good.

We now prepare for the next storm which is Wednesday and Thursday. Is winter over yet?

Sure will be nice when the kids are old enough to work the snow blower huh? I used to complain to my dad that the only reason he had a son was to have someone to mow his lawn for him.

Wait a second. I thought that is why we have kids

Soap/cream:Ballenclaugh Honey
Brush: Rudy Vey 2016 Group Buy
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel

Well I did get a shave in today. You can find a video out there somewhere. The shave went real well. I really enjoy this soap. The blade was part of the bad blade series and actually performed pretty well all things considered.

Megan is doing parent teacher conferences so I will be playing Mr. Mom tonight and tomorrow. Aside from that thanks for reading and commenting. Have a good day Cadre.

Ugh the dreaded parent teacher conferences. It’s even worse when they get to high school and you have to find all their classrooms ???. I’ll be checking out the bad blade video this evening.

Well guys Mr. mom failure #1. Today when I left I forgot to push the on button on the crock pot. So needless to say all the raw meat has most likely spoiled and I ordered pizza.
