Menthol Monday’s Ungodly Grand Freeze:

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 9
Captain Nemo Absolute Zero SS
Captain Nemo Absolute Zero AS Toner
Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gio Parfum

Guys, this is no joke - unless you’re able to tolerate intense menthol DO NOT try to use this Absolute Zero soap and aftershave because this stuff is mentholated to a level that even makes me wobble a little. The scent is actually - it’s aquatic with minty notes, the soap is vegan based, it’s kinda thirsty but it still gives great lather with plenty of slickness, the menthol sensation is borderline painful, (in a good way!) but the skincare is excellent. The matching aftershave toner has the same great scent, you can’t imagine how frigid it is but it’s also very moisturizing as well as soothing. Finally the lovely Aqua di Gio fragrance which was a birthday gift from my in-laws and that was it, that was all. Three passes did the job for me this morning - an incredible BBS shave that I really enjoyed a lot!

I was on the golf course all day today so I wasn’t able to post my SOTD. 😊😊

Be well and stay safe - see you all tomorrow!

Awesome Arctic 🥶🧊 shave, Akhi! It sounds like you wet your face and stuck it in the freezer for an hour🤣🤣

I hope you had a wonderful day on the links. Golf is not for me. When i did try to play, I was so bad my scores were like double par. I leave the game to people who know how to play.

That is a beautiful brush. The G5C is great knot once it's broken in.

What an extreme shave Akhi! If you say it makes you wobble, it would knock me out! I'll stay far away from it!

With slightly more than 2 days of growth, I decided to use the .76 plate on the Game Changer. It proved to be the right choice. Very efficient, smooth, shave this afternoon. The Mid Cape Barber smells terrific and provided a super cushion with lots of slickness. I am feeling very smooth. BBS finish.

Nice shave Akhi! I'm not familiar with Mid Cape Barber. It seems like we're in the Golden Age with no shortage of Artisan soaps!

Subtle Art Soap Co is a small artisan based in New York state. I had never heard of them before I won a $20.00 gift card from a YouTube content creator I watch. I choose a tub of Oats & Honey, which is virtually unscented. I was so impressed with his base that I bought more.

Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #425 Synthetic
Treet Single Edge Razor
Personna Gem PTSE Blade
CWR
Brut After Shave

I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #425. I did one quick pass with the Treet Single Edge Razor with a Personna Gem PTSE Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

Thanks Akhi!

I never thought I’d find a soap that would beat the Stirling Glacials or the Chiseled Face Cryogen when it comes to menthol power but this Absolute Zero did it. The freeze from it is WICKED!

Not to brag but I LOVE golf and I had lessons from a professional. I shoot in the mid 70s as a general rule. However I have yet to win a tournament so I guess I’m not as good as a lot of people think! 😂😂😂😂

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

"Best Shave of the Week" contender this morning! Returned to Stirling Soap Co. and their excellent blue Floid homage, "Cool Blue" shave soap. Great traditional Italian barbershop scent with an incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Epsilon "Blue Mediterranean" aftershave splash, CBL Premium Barber Powder & Dior "Eau Sauvage" EdT.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
