Well, I did another investigation and still couldn't find where that dang bolt came from. Oddest thing. If B Dave can find where it goes when he's here, I'll give him $10.

So first, the razor. This thing is 100% just a 3D print, no glue or other hardware. So in itself kinda neat. In addition to the main parts and spaces, some female and male pins were printed that hold the whole thing together friction fit. The blade is actual held into one side by being pushed onto a silhouette that creates a tight fit. The piece the blade is mounted on then pushed onto the rest of the razor and is only held into rest of the head by one one tab and hole but somehow snaps into place pretty firmly.

The shave. Was started with much trepidation. Of course this thing is light. I didn't weigh it, but it's as light as you would think it would be or lighter. There is plenty of blade exposure, but Because the design is a flat 90 degree edge at the blade, you're riding a very tiny angle window that will cut hair without feeling like the blade is ready to deep dive for your blood vessels. It really needs to taper off so it's capable of a more shallow angle.

It's also so light, you can't let the razor do the work. It's a good thing I'm a professional because of the lack of weight and the steep angle you need to use, this thing just really wants to chatter down your face. I got half of my face done ok-ish. Switching to the left hand was a different story. I don't know if it was because that side the pressure would have been against the removable part of the head and could have less support to the blade or just a little less dexterity with the left hand, but it felt the that micro small angle window for a safe shave disappeared and I stopped half way through the first stroke. The rest of the first pass was finished with another razor. I did thing about giving up, but decided to give it one more try for the 2nd pass. I was actually able to complete the whole 2nd pass with it. Actually ended up with just as close a shave as I've been getting with anything else and no alum burning.

I think I likely won't be able to revisit this one, but once I can edit the printer files, I'll try to make a little taper to the blade and try again.
