Greetings

I do have an amateur radio license,

I ride motorcycles, am a beekeeper, run bingo at the VFW, enjoy gardening & stargazing, keep snakes and tarantulas, and I collect vintage shaving stuff, creepy dolls, clowns, uranium glass, medical oddities, human skulls, and just about anything creepy or macabre.

We like it a lot, the area has started getting "pricey" though in the last few years.... And I just wish sometimes for Not so many tourists.. Haha, though that's what helps keep things / prices from going completely crazy..
Unfortunately that is anywhere in Florida. My first house was $130,000 in 2008, now, could not find anything under $600,000.

What made you start collecting uranium glass? I have only ever seen pictures of it.

It was a combination of a few things. I had an ex-girlfriend that collected depression era glass, and we discovered uranium glass together. I have a background in nuclear weapons in the military, so something that contains uranium I thought was pretty cool. And I've long loved things that glow under a blacklight (like scorpions and certain rocks), so once I discovered that uranium glows extremely brightly under a blacklight I was hooked. I love the thrill of the hunt and finding pieces in the wild. That goes for all of my collections. I just love antique stores.

Interesting. I do not have many antiques; though, I do have some old pocket watches. I do not think any of them glow under black light.

That's Darwin at work right there...
I grew up in Pennsylvania. The area was "special." My good friend's brother described as de-evolution. He said that anyone worthwhile-whether 8 or 80 will leave, and all that is left are the mongoloid freaks, and they reproduce, and the gene pool spirals further down.

Is it Darwin or Highlander, there can be only one? I hope GearNoir and I do not have to battle to the death!

I think you are talking about where I live now.🥲
