May 19, 2026 (Mystic May Every Other Day)

• Bowl: Fine Accoutrements – Stoneware Lather Bowl
• Brush: Semogue – 1470 (Boar)
• Razor: Muhle – R41 (Black)
• Blade: Lord – Super Stainless
• Soap: Mystic Water – White Tea & Ginger
• Aftershave: Floïd – The Genuine After Shave
• Balm: Every Man Jack – Signature Mint Face Lotion and Post-Shave
• Fragrance: Imaginary Authors – The Language of Glaciers

Hard to describe this scent, but it is very pleasant and light. I would say the white tea is more there to tone down the ginger rather than to smell of white tea (which itself smells very delicate). It’s a nice scent to have as ginger tends to usually be included in spicier, fall/winter scents. This is much milder and more delicate, but still as charming. Like ginger ale as opposed to ginger beer, I suppose.

Have an awesome day, friends!

I'm in Central PA - just South of the Capital - I am contemplating attending the Meetup - although I'm on a Restraint from Buying for 2026 it would be nice to see other shavers interested in the hobby. And see the honing demonstrations.
I will contact Glenn for a ticket and some Hotel recommendations - Macular Degeneration makes it tough to drive after dark. My late pop gave me some sage advice one time "Son, never get old" LOL
My son graduated from Penn State Harrisburg in Middletown.

I have eye issues from diabetes... diabetic retinopathy and macular edma. I had numerous laser surgeries and eye injections to deal with the effects. I also had cataracts from long term steroid use, which have been removed... made a huge difference.

I certainly get not wanting to drive at night. I hope to meet you there. I should be a good time.

Tuesday morning’s Custom Made Grand Freeze:

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 3
MSC Wintergreen SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
MSC Wintergreen AS Splash

Nobody else in the world has this hyper mentholated soap and aftershave except for Fernando - he knows how much I love the Stirling Glacial Wintergreen stuff so he not only created a perfect substitute for it, he he actually INCREASED the menthol content. The scent is as beautiful as the Glacial Wintergreen, the soap lathers incredibly easily as well as so thick, rich, mega slick and protective, the menthol sensation is so intense that believe it or not it passes the Glacial Wintergreen, but the post-shave feeling is so comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me lots of additional cooling gentleness, and the Wintergreen aftershave nearly knocked me out - same delightful scent as Rod’s but it’s advisable to use just a SMALL dab on both cheeks and the neck because otherwise your eyes will tear for a couple of hours - the menthol kick is off the charts. Three passes froze me to smithereens and gave me a dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed. Notice that there are no labels on the soap container or on the bottle because they’re not on the market.

Wishing you all a great day - be well and stay safe!

Excellent shave, Akhi! I'm shivering just reading about this freezing cold shave. Sounds artic cold in the dead of winter... -60°F.

I wonder if MSC entered a soap into Bary Bedford's Blizzard Battle III. Bary challenged artisan to freeze his face off this year with something custom.

Stay cold my friend!a🥶🥶🧊🧊
