I'm with you, Chris! There's nothing quite like it.Burl is truely amazing stuff. I have found a few other woods that have similarly unique grain patterns and/or reveal an unusual beauty when finished...but none come close to what actual burl can produce. *Disclaimer, it is possible the "other woods" that I have seen and worked with where actually some form of burl, i purchased smaller chunks for specific projects and did so purely based on the images I saw without knowing much about the source.
