"day off"

Shave Newbie
So,thanks to my job I don't have to be clean shaven on Saturdays or Mondays....(I know it's a great perk😜)
So,I will typically shave Friday morning and then again Sunday morning for church taking Saturday off. I'll then shave again on Tuesday mornings. Kind of an odd routine but I like it.
So here is the question,do you all notice any substantial difference with a multi day growth vs a one day growth?
Also,do any of y'all take the day off from shaving for any specific reason,or just as you see fit?

I've noticed (perhaps it's just in my head bouncing around in the blank space) that the 2 day growth yields a closer shave than the single day growth .

I haven't missed a day of shaving for 2821 days. Had a long streak before that, but dealing with a kidney stone for the first time broke that. There are days when the streak itself is the only reason I shave. Especially this last vacation when some days I wasn't shaving until basically dinner time. But on those days I shave late, it's a little more fun because of the added growth. For me, I don't think I get a closer shave because on a normal day I can be glass smooth. But there is a larger contrast between more whiskers and the clean shave that might give the impression of it being closer.

I used to shave daily, driven my 'the streak' like @NurseDave (now THAT is a CT 'the streak') even if I had no other reason. More recently I have gone longer stretches without shaving, somtimes skipping a day or tow and other times only shaving on Sunday. Like you @ordinaryShaver I feel like a closer shave is achieved with one or more days growth. I also feel like regularly going too long between shaves leads to more problems. Whether its irritation or ingrown hairs along the collar line or just a general feeling that my skin is unhappy, regularly skipping several days between shaves seems to be problematic. It might be perception or creative thinking but i am inclined to believe regular shaving keeps the skin and beard in a shave ready state while skipping several days allows the skin to sort of get used to NOT being shaved.
I usually maintain a similar skin care routine even when I don't shave so the only thing missing if i go several days without shaving is the actual blade to skin and 2nd/3rd lathering (I usually lather in the shower even if i am not shaving that day. I am not strictly straight or DE but my perception is that BOTH methods feel closer if I skip a day while a straight razor or shavette usually provides a longer lasting shave.
