Refreshing shave Akhi! I'm looking forward to warmer weather and refreshing soaps like TOBS Peppermint and MdC Absinthe.Menthol Monday’s Frigid Report:

Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 2
Stirling Glacial Cedar SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash
After using a setup like this one I think I’ll need all day for my face to thaw out. A most enjoyable and awesome three pass BBS shave even if I say so myself!
Wishing you all a great week ahead - be well and stay safe!

Thanks Akhi!Refreshing shave Akhi! I'm looking forward to warmer weather and refreshing soaps like TOBS Peppermint and MdC Absinthe.

Thank you. It was my 144th brush I made and a favorite design. This is our last week here in Hendersonville, NC. We are closing on a house in Simpsonville, SC, next Monday. We will move down there sometime that week. Jayaruh #144 BeginsThanks for your excellent post. That's a great looking brush of yours.
I also use the glass bottle brut paired with A&E. The only problem is that the A&E is more fashioned to the faberge brut scent (stronger, deeper scent); whereas the modern brut is more light fougere.20 April, 2026
Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Great shave this morning! Returned to Ariana & Evans and their excellent Brut homage, "60's Cologne" shave soap. Wonderful Old School scent with exceptional lather built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed Thayers unscented witch hazel and Brut aftershave lotion & EdT.
Hope you have a great day.
Agreed. I'm always on the look-out for the old stuff. Seems to be nowhere though. A lot of Shulton Old Spice, AV and others out there but not much of the old Fabergé stuff. Sometimes I use vintage Avon "Tai Winds" splash and cologne. Closest thing I've found to the original Fabergé juice.I also use the glass bottle brut paired with A&E. The only problem is that the A&E is more fashioned to the faberge brut scent (stronger, deeper scent); whereas the modern brut is more light fougere.
Thanks, it's a pretty good shave cream for me. Gillette came out with it (I think I'm remembering correctly) shortly after they introduced their Gillette Heritage 3 piece razor. I think within the last ten years, but time flies so fast now, so who knows.I love the name of that soap!
Congratulations. I hope your move all goes well and that your new home and community is a blessing to your household.Thank you. It was my 144th brush I made and a favorite design.
