Good news: My wife won tickets to a concert in the cooperate box at the Chase Center. Home of the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry. Not that I really care about that just keeping @heysi interested. Although, my company is a major sponsor of the team, but when we get tickets through that connection you're basically up touching the ceiling. Anyway, the artist is Brandi Carlisle which I got confused with Belinda Carlisle when told about the concert. I listened to some of her stuff, I think I'm more interested in Brandi anyway. Plus, free food!

Bad news: On the ALA front, I got an ember coffee mug a few Christmases ago. One of those that connects to your phone and you set the temp you want it to hold your coffee at. The time it's been able to hold temp has been slowly decreasing until now it doesn't last for as long as it really needs to. A replacement will need to be determined. Since this is used in the office, I'm more leaning to one that sits on the energizing pad instead of being charged up by it. This would avoid the battery degredation.

I read this and immediately thought you were going to say she won tickets to see Metallica at the Sphere........in which case I was going to die. I'm now 0 for 5 on getting tickets. And I have a Legacy Fan Club presale code.

Nah, a band like Metallica really needs a small intimate venue like a coffee shop.

Friday's concert was ok. Some good songs, some I could do without, but the best part was seeing people that seemed to genuinely like to perform together enjoying themselves. Saturday wrapped up the painting of the front door with two more coats. During the move my wife also asked for replacing all the inside door of the house from just plain flat doors to something with panels. So I took her to Lowe's so she could point out what she wanted. Turns out she just wants a 2-panel door, but the only ones they carry prefinished in white are the 6-panel doors. So I either need to find somewhere to order prefinished doors, or figure out something more efficient than prepping more than one door at a time and then installing and starting over again. So anyway, it's either that, or cleaning and painting the garage door as next on the major project list.

Went to the in-laws for a little dinner get together. I keep getting tricked into being told come over we're having kebab and the it just turning out to be chicken and steak kebabs and not the juicy ground beef kind. Time for me to organize my stuff and make some of my own one weekend. I got a press for Christmas over a year ago for pressing the meat stuffs onto the flat skewers that I have yet to try.

Bit of a crazy week with more to come. This is Patient Safety Awareness week, so we had extra presentations to listen to and rounding on the floor with the staff. Next week we have a one day strike that includes the nurses, so that's a big deal. I thought I was getting out of being incident commander that day, but no dice so already a little stressed about that. Also working this Sunday out of town to help with onboarding workers. And as Gear mentioned the heat will be coming and I'll be over on the hot side of the bay.

In more interested news, like anywhere, we have grass and weeds that like to spout around the patio and around the house like hair out of an old man's ears. I used to spray the poison stuff to get rid of it, but now we let our cats out from time to time and don't want them chewing on that since they like to eat grass. So I got one of those weed blow torch things. It has a wide but mellow flame continuously, but boy howdy when you push down the trigger on that thing! It sounds like a jet engine and I'm totally expecting to get reported some day while using it. We'll see how long it is until weeds reappear once burned away. But it was much easier than scraping them out or pulling them one by one. Plus, FIRE!!
