#5 Today another hate loading session , but I tried bowl lathering. It fought me a bit to find the water band. As I expected, it was a bit less slick than with face lathering, but I’m not exactly sure if everything was equal. Still, the Slim and Gillette blade worked just fine for a DFS in two passes. Maybe I’ll try this again using the same brush I used before.

wow made a video just for this. Pretty amateur at doing videos. So sorry for any quality issues. Yep use hot water dispenser on espresso machine for hot lather in shave scuttle when I use it. Also have a definite coffee addiction hobby. Make coffee as soon as I get up.

Happy Monday everyone!

#6 bowl lathered after a mug load. This is indeed a viable method, but as I noted before, I think I get more glide when face lathering. The key variable for me is in how heavy to load the brush. A tip I learned from Mark Szorady on his channel is warming the razor and blade in hot water seems to help the first couple of strokes somehow. It does feel nice, but I don’t see doing it for more than the very start of the shave.
Taking a new photo of the same setup didn’t happen this morning. Sorry guys.
I think we may get above freezing today! I don’t think winter is over by a long shot, but I’m hoping my neighbor will extract his car from its icy tomb soon. In my neighborhood this is quite the eyesore. 😝 IMG_1517.jpegIMG_1466.jpeg

Sunday and Monday shaves with PAA ascension double open comb. PAA Atomic Rocket shave brush and same Vintage Williams challenge puck sitting in Shave Nation Unbreakable shave bowl. 2 pass + touch up BBS. @BarberDave , if bored I challenge you to shave with your Williams challenge gear blind folded. Maybe help take mind off of using same stuff over and over again for atleast 1 shave 😅
