I found a puck and about a third of a puck in a container that has not had the lid cracked open in several years.
I will most definitely need a support group to get through a puck.
I'll start Monday morning.

A long time ago a bunch of us shredded our picks and mixed in all sorts of different colognes or aftershaves. The result didn’t really affect the latherability of the soap and gave them a nicer scent. I soaked my Williams in a bunch of Aqua Velva and it turned out really nice!
Soaking a hard puck of Williams in water, overnight before it’s used for the first time is great for rehydrating the soap. Then if it’s rehydrated with daily use after that it will lather even better.

Yeah I did that and added some vintage Avon Tai Winds to it. Turned out great!
Also I’ll add , in last year’s challenge, I found that I got the best lather quality by using a brush with a synthetic knot. Boar brushes were a close second.

I appreciate the info and recommendations. I have shredded hard soaps before and molded them into containers. My wife actually lets me use the cheese grater.
