Very enjoyable shave today. The Seaforth Spiced really worked well on a cold winters day. I used a no name shaving brush I found in a lot of soaps I purchased. It was pretty floppy, but did well with this soap. It’s pretty light, if I ever put a new knot in it, it will need several washers glued into it. Not sure of the wood, but whatever it is it’s not heavy enough to be stabilized.

Razor: C.V. Heljestrand MK31
Soap: Seaforth Spiced
Brush: Unknown badger brush(bought in a lot)
Aftershave: Seaforth Spiced
Balm: Nivea Sensitive Cooling

Friday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Nivea Shave Cream
Jayaruh #217 Synthetic
AliExpress Classic Adjustable DE
Gillette Silver Blue
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Nivea Shave Balm

The Nivea Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AliExpress Classic Adjustable razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Friday morning:

Hot shower with Tabac bath soap
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/new 7 O’Clock
Tabac SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Tabac Deodorant Spray
Tabac AS Splash
Tabac Cologne

Absolutely wonderful - the new 7 O’Clock blade knocked off my tough stubble so easily, the Tabac setup had me smelling and feeling great - everything is in perfect order. What a delightful three pass BBS shave this was!

Wishing you all a nice weekend - be well and stay safe!

Thursday morning:

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Crystal day 12
Bundubeard Impi SS
Bundubeard Boomslang 1 ASB
Mennen Skin Bracer AS Splash

This Crystal blade is starting to show signs of fatigue so I think I’ll change it tomorrow morning. My Yaqi Barber Pole is one helluva great brush - not only is it beautiful, you should have seen the awesome lather it whipped up from the Impi soap which I wrote a review on - check it out. The Boomslang 1 balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing and it has a pleasant menthol sensation. Finally the Skin Bracer aftershave which I love the scent of and c’est tout. Despite the dull blade I still had a terrific three pass BBS shave that I really enjoyed!

Wishing you all a good day - be well and stay safe!

Thanks for your post. I don't remember having ever taken one blade through a dozen shaves. I've come close with some of the artist club style blades.
I always enjoy seeing your Yaqi Barber Pole brush. I admire it.

Thanks so much!

I LOVE that Yaqi brush - it’s not only beautiful, it churns up such great lather with whatever soap or cream I use. Although I have a very tough beard the majority of blades give me at least 12 perfect shaves!
