Olive Wood - it holds up well to water and abuse. Amazon purchase early on in my wet shaving journey. If my memory serves me well it was about $11.65 LOL Very skritchy at first but now is well broken in.

Fabulous shave this afternoon. About 2 days of growth. The A&E Unmasked shave soap whips up a very thick and creamy lather easily. The performance is top notch. The Vaskhod blade is always smooth. BBS shave.

This Crystal blade is starting to show signs of fatigue so I think I’ll change it tomorrow morning. My Yaqi Barber Pole is one helluva great brush - not only is it beautiful, you should have seen the awesome lather it whipped up from the Impi soap which I wrote a review on - check it out. The Boomslang 1 balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing and it has a pleasant menthol sensation. Finally the Skin Bracer aftershave which I love the scent of and c’est tout. Despite the dull blade I still had a terrific three pass BBS shave that I really enjoyed!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Wholly Kaw and their excellent "Chypre Rose Concerto" shave soap & splash. Fantastic scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave lotion & Domenico Caraceni "1913" EdP.

It's been a while since I last used anything from Wholly Kaw and today reminded me how great their products are. The scent is wonderful. Matches perfectly with the DC frag in all its soapy, barbershop-rose goodness.

Another effortless BBS shave!
