Much like Bougie himself.
Technology has advanced to a place that there are a number of finishes on the market that will stand up to that type of rigorous environment.
Pocket Pill Pouch. This one is made of Two Tone Amboyna Burl that I imported from Southeast Asia. Some models have Rare Earth Magnets for catches, while others have hand-chased threads and screw together.
Another Pocket Pill Sorter. This iteration features a body of Rosewood and includes lid inlays of Snakewood and genuine Siberian Wooly Mammoth Ivory.
This little Flake Tobacco Dish is made of Mediterranean Briar and features a unique, transition blast. That means it is heavily blasted at the knot and fades to totally smooth on the opposite side of the face. It's far more difficult than completely smooth or completely textured, but the results are, in my opinion, worth the additional planning and effort.
I would need to upgrade my pockets first!

I don't know about Cobb Salad, but you haven't lived until you've been in Havana and had a zaftig, dark haired woman light your cigar with a long cedar spill and take the first long puff for you before placing it gently between your lips.
