TSC Watch List

This watch was a very unexpected gift from a friend. He actually used it for diving. It was manufactured in 1970 and has an electronic tuning fork movement (Bulova Accutron). I had it refurbished and replaced the strap. It is a fun watch to wear. You can hear the tuning fork hum when you press the watch against your ear.

IMG_4465.webpThis is an interesting watch I got for Christmas. It’s designed like the Swiss train clocks and this model has a movement that mimics the movement of the clocks. It takes 58 seconds for the seconds hand to rotate all the way around. Then, when it reaches the 12, it stops for 2 seconds and during the 2nd second of the pause the minute hand advances one minute. Then the seconds hand starts moving again. For the railway clocks, this pause happens when a calibrating signal is sent to all the clocks in the system to keep them synced.
