Wow, almost a week behind. I must be super important and busy! What's been going on? You may have seen I got a watch I've been enterally battling myself over for 2 years. Not the prettiest watch, but it's basically powered with static electricity, so the engineering is pretty cool. I was hoping nobody would bring up getting a Christmas tree until it's was past of the point of it being worth it, but nope. Sunday morning we ran out and got one. Seems like the prices have jumped again. One saving grace is we don't have the vaulted ceilings any more, so we're now size limited. There was also rumblings of the lights being put on the house which I was also hoping to avoid this year.

We were supposed to keep the radioactive cat away from us for 14 days. Last night was 13 and we thought close enough and left the door open for them to sleep with us. My wife woke up being reminded that much of the sore neck and back in the morning was because of the cats restricting movement at night when they sleep between your legs. Tonight I can switch their little back to the normal stuff and stop flushing it. Then we're just left with a couple follow-up lab draws to make sure she's cured and stuff.

I had to curtail my Christmas tree buying for the same height restrictions. Going from 12 foot high ceilings to 8 has been a bit of a shock. I'm not sure what to do with my 10 foot tall tree. Maybe I can put it out on the lawn.

It's Vegas. Wouldn't it look about right being on the lawn surrounded by pink flamingos and a "Vegas" signing hanging on it?

Aaaaaand nope. The question came if the lights might be put on the house this weekend. If I can quickly track down the correct box, I might try to get a few up when I get home to shorten the process later. We've always had the most lights where we've lived but tastefully so. No friggin lasers or blow up stuff. Nice orderly lights on the house and trees and stuff in the yard. My plan is for this to be the last year of the put up/take down lights and next year plan far enough ahead of time to get something that will stay up year around but hidden under the eaves.

Hey Steven, let me give you a few more details. We had our department holiday party on Friday. Seems like everyone had a good time whether they wanted to or not. And once it was all over one of our physicians led a group in learning Bollywood dancing. I'm a natural if I do say so myself.
Saturday the lights went on the house. My wife conceded to just the house lights and not the putting up the birch trees in the hard and holiday sh..stuff lining the driveway this year. This summer I'll start looking for the permanent house lights. Saturday night we were invited over to dinner by the parents of the youngest's boyfriend. Once we got there we learned we were also waiting for "my cousin to show up". Well, "my cousin" turned out to be three cousins, their wives, and their kids. It was a bit frustrating to us and the boyfriend as we thought we were going to get to know the parents and we're much too early into this thing for the joining families aspect, but the evening was fine, good food and nice people.
After my life of home printers being ink jets for the kids to waste ink on school projects and whatever, after advocating for no printer at home and losing, I finally got a cheapie laser jet so we're not paying $$ for ink every one of the few times the thing fires up to print a return label or something these days. My wife tried to set it up on Saturday with no luck. Stupid computers. Darn thing is hardwired and it should just be plug and play. Long story short, instead of calling the help number I found for her, she called the on-call executive IT support for her company. No luck over facetime, so they then offered to stop by the house on Sunday to try to figure it out! Took them 15min and edits to the driver settings or something. Meanwhile I was out trying to find the beers you (Steven, remember who I'm writing this for) chose for a Drinks & Daves episode in the future. I only round up 4 of the 6, so I'll have spend more time searching.

The Crack team at TSCSI has found some archival footage of @NurseDave at his Christmas Bollywood Party, he even shaved for it and used his Dancer Stage name of "Raj", and had @heysi dressed up as Bernadette

Sounds like you fell victim to the "we don't trust our son to pick a good future life partner so we'll overwhelm her family with everyone so they all skee-daddle" ploy. I've seen it dozens of times.

Someone isn't trying too hard to find the simplest beers on the planet.....I sense a sandbagging moment. And besides...I thought you were ordering it all from the safety of your cigar room so you wouldn't have to venture out into the dirty, unwashed masses.
