Great 2.5 pass shave, everything performed very nicely. The 'Old Virginia' is a very rustic 'leather and tobacco' aroma put together by Lee at Wet Shaving Products for Asylum Shave Works (but discontinued). If you're looking for it...it's nearly the same as WSP's 'Tobacco', but this version seems slightly deeper/darker. You can see the soap is very dark brown, so I always use a synthetic or boar knot to lather this with.

Had a little fun in the 'studio' with the image today. The highlight on the blade etching is done with an extra flashlight that I can very tightly focus the beam to be the LED itself that makes the light. The LED is a rectangle....so it works pretty neat. Captured with an iPhone.

Really nice cream. Pleasant & calming scent with a creamy and slick lather...
Uneventful shave with razor and blade pairing. 3passes for a bbs/dfs result. Nice cooling aftershaves.
Wow...after 29 days of super-slow internet, finally appreciate the meaning of speed! Now I can see the rest of the postings!

Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another fantastic shave this morning. Went back to Barrister and Mann's "Mélange" soap and balm. Great lather and scent. Three effortless passes and a DFS++ was the result, as close ot a true BBS shave I can get. Finished with the matching splash and a spray of Boss "Number One". Wonderful!

A wonderful warm, sandalwood shave on a wet morning. I have always loved the Santal cream. The BBS-1 head has such a deceptively simple design but is one of my two most efficient shavers, especially with a great blade like the London Bridge; and I actually like it better on the smaller Triad handle than on its original stock one.
