Shave with razor paired with the Pif blade...1st wtg pass...ouucchh....it skips and tugs...ouucchh..can't continue. Replaced with the Astra SS 3rd. Much better and smoother.

Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant night.

Great shave to close out the week! Love the scent of the "Seville" and the lather it produces is exquisite! EdT landed yesterday so I had to use it all this morning. ;)

Hope you have a great day!

Went with an all vintage shave today. I was PIF'd some old blades to try, and let just say they're a bit rough. Enjoying a bunch of vintage OS soap and splash made up for it though. A fine enough shave overall today. I might not be perfectly smooth, but I smell amazing.

Razor: Gillette New Long Open Comb
Blade: Hammer Brand Blade (1)
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 22mm Two Band Badger
Soap: Vintage Shulton Old Spice (Belgium Mug 02)
Splash: Vintage Shulton Old Spice ("Sound fast..." Scrimshaw Decanter)

That decanter is pretty dang skippy. Forgot about those. Now I have another thing to look out for on the Bay.
Not sure if that’s good or bad. 🤔

Switching to a fat handle tech today while using this vintage blade was a game changer in the way it performed. I would have thought I had a completely different, blade in there. Still a bit tuggy, but much more manageable than before. DFS today, and I'll continue with this razor/blade setup tomorrow.

Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
Blade: Hammer Brand Blades (2)
Brush: Yaqi Lucky Dice 26mm Tuxedo
Soap: CBL Tonsorial Insurgent
Splash: Old Spice Hawkridge
Balm: AoS Sandalwood
