Feather AC SS Drinks n’ Dave’s

Lovely soap! Leathery, Smoky, Boozy, and it sticks around for a while.
Feather SS is a rockstar! I am reminded why I favor this model.
I tried to film this shave with GoPro, but it somehow didn’t happen for large portions of the shave. So
I gave it up as a bad idea to publish to my page. No worry, I will likely stick with using the iPad for shave videos
as I am more comfortable with that platform. My intent with the GoPro is for car content and vacation footage.
We will see how that works out. I wish the camera came with a manual.

Ugh! The picture I took with the camera is “Too big”. Something else to figure out.

How great is this combo?! Mitchell’s is often used not only because it’s a tremendous soap, but because it sits out in the open in front because of its cool container.
We had some weather last night! Thankfully no flooding, and didn’t wake up the land of OZ. Sunny and nice today and Mama is off today. Probly out for a country run in the Vette.

Stirling Hipster and Klas Tornblom

A great Soap and my favorite razor make. I had a bit of a tremor going on this morning so only did two passes.
Still, came out with my usual DFS.
Going to try and get my grass cut between waves of rain. I took the deflector off so it won’t leave rows of grass that will need raked.
All in all a satisfactory shave.

Hello and Monday Tornblom
Frank Shaving synthetic 19mm

A darned fine shave with the Monday razor of my KT set. I am working my way through the set to evaluate the edges. They are still on their initial bevel set by Alphonse many years ago. These things hold their age really good.especially if they aren’t frequently used.

Hooray!

Fine L’Orange Noir and Rockwell Model T2
Cadre anniversary brush

Two great passes for a better than DFS shave. Getting all pretty for an ‘ologist appointment today. Pretty important one.
The results are that memory and other problems are external to the brain and dementia is not indicated! Some changes to medications, exercise, and more external stimulation. Ain’t gonna lie, I wept. The small vein stuff on the mri seem to be related to the strokes, and haven’t changed.
The color looks funky because I filmed with my GoPro which was set up for outdoor use. I’ll try again in a couple days.

Seaforth Roman Spice test lather.

Came in the mail yesterday and dying to try it. But… reasons.

This new base is a lot softer than previous releases, so I got a scoop with my gelato spoon and mooshed it into my copper bowl. Then a squirrel came by and I was distracted, so came back in a couple of hours to try again. This is a pretty thirsty soap and may be a bit slower to develop. But once it does, it’s incredible! Very good strength of scent. Good sheen and apparent slickness. The website indicates this is a modern take on an original Seaforth scent. I have no reason to doubt that. Scent notes show a lot of players in the scent profile. I anticipated a heavier scent with the frankincense, but that was not the case. I quite like the scent, but have not tried it on my skin yet. That will come on Monday.

The impressions from my test lather come forth and repeat. This is some good soap. I’m not sure I shall gush all over, but I am quite impressed with this base as a soap going forward. (I’m sure it’s now the default for all scents)
Bowl lathering unbloomed product about a dime sized dollop yields acceptable amounts of very nice lather.
Fragrance is strong, but seems a little short-lived. I’ll try it again and evaluate staying power.
Post-pass slickness is quite excellent! I should have gone more passes.

I’m a fan of Fine soaps, but have not tried their current production (that i can remember) it is a completely different kind of product as the triple milled soap that I enjoy. But dang! What a latherer! Strength of scent and slickness is quite similar to the old base. Perhaps a tick less strong. I lathered from a dallop rather than loading from the puck. In so doing, I project the puck (or whatever one calls a semi-croap product) will not last as long as the hard puck. This should appeal to brand managers everywhere as there will be more refill sales.

I think it’s a worthy one.

The soap needs no introduction! I’m now watching Wagon Train on the tube, and feel like I could be amongst ‘em.
Dang! I like this fragrance. And Jerry made an excellent implement of whisker destruction!

Pinaud Clubman
Gillette Tech
Wizamet

A guy could do a lot worse than Clubman. Plenty slick and pretty cheap. My only knock is the tin is pretty tiny and fiddle to load from. I googled how to prounounce Pinaud and they think it’s Pin ‘OOd.
