Couldn’t find anything for zippo collection. So I thought we need a place to Discuss and show off your Collection and discuss the in’s and out’s of Zippo Collecting.
I can start with my most Recent Acquisition from an Estate Sale.

Some collecting info for anyone who looking to identify the date of a Zippo...

The Historic Zippo Logo

Zippo Historic Logos during 1933-1954, 1954-1979 and 1980-2011

Current Date Code System

The current date code system uses a letter and two-digit number to identify the month and year of manufacture.

  • Letters A thru L represent the month (A for January, B for February, etc.)
  • The two digits correspond to the year it was made – 14 for 2014

Zippo Regular Lighter Identification Codes

Classic Lighter Date Codes

Zippo Slim Lighter Identification Codes

I’ve only got 3 that are fairly modern (2000s and later); two regular and one pipe. They’re a fun piece of equipment even if they aren’t exactly fuel efficient lol. I’ll try to remember to post a picture later 👍

Thanks for providing this info. I'll be matching up my date codes tonight.

I agree, very cool.

I have my Grandmothers Slim Venetian Zippo and Her and my Grandfathers Zippo Table Lighter. Will post pics when I get a chance.

That’s cool. I’ve always wanted a Zippo Table lighter. Been looking kinda on the web at em.
