I decided to post my thoughts on my two shaves so far on a sample of their Sebo tallow version of The Magician as I know at least one regular poster here is interested in their soaps. I won't name him except that he has over 100 soaps and lives in KY (the state and not the jelly).
IMO, it's a very soft soap and the scent strength is medium and purportedly the Magician is their best smelling, at least until recently. I had no trouble lathering this soap with a YaQi synth and the shave was very, very good. BUT, I don't see this soap bringing anything new to the table unless you are allergic to lanolin as it has none. I bought three samples recently from Maggard, this one, Wholly Kaw Rebelde (in their new Siero base) and finally one of B&M's new Ravish. I have to be frank here people in that the best performer FOR THE ACTUAL SHAVE was the B&M. Slicker than a Philadelphia lawyer I tell ya!!
Just my opinion and worth what you were charged.
