Zoom calls really are the next best thing to an in-person Shaving Cadre Meet-Up. I know a lot of us want to have a meet-up, and we will, eventually. But for now this is what we have. I know some may never be able to get the time off or be able to afford to travel to a meet-up so the Zoom call may be their only avenue to meet their fellow members.

Now, last night's Zoom call was very short and sweet and chock full of amazing info on current and future happenings at The Cadre.
1) Dave announced the TSC Brush Group Buy, concurrently on the Forum and the Zoom Call. Dave did share a few details on Zoom about the process and the backstory on how this project came to be.

(Now, one thing about this announcement. This was not the first time Dave talked about (possibly) getting a custom TSC brush from SV....... that's right, he mentioned it on a Zoom call a few weeks ago! So, the few of us who were paying attention, kinda knew this was coming...... But as we all know, the first rule of Zoom Calls is (for the most part) "What happens on Zoom Call, Stays on Zoom Call." So those of us that had a clue, kept it to ourselves, waiting for the official confirmation announcement.)
2) We got the inside scoop on SV joining The Cadre and becoming an Artisan Retailer here. So we found out a few hours before the rest of you, big deal right? Well, there was some really good info passed along about the details of that that I think are important enough to share.
A) SV, via Marco and Alessandro plan on being active participants on the forum.
B) SV only supports and participates on one other forum, an Italian shaving forum called Il Rasioi (Ilrasoio.com - Indice). So we kind of have unprecedented access to them!
C) They put the TSC logo up on their website, with a link to the forum, even before they finalized the details of becoming Artisan Retailers.
D) AND they inked a 5 year deal to support the TSC!
E) And incredibly, when we ever get the chance to have an in-person meet-up, SV will make efforts to attend!!! Holy Cow!

This just shows how cool of a retailer they are, and how amazing it is to have them as TSC supporters!
And Finally
3) Dave gave us a hint as to what is coming up in the future, probably after the group buy is finished. While he did not say exactly what it is, he did say it is going to be something very cool that everyone is going to want. Now, if you paid attention during the Zoom call, Dave gave off some subtle clues. You had to pay attention to his body language and pay attention to his eyes while saying certain phrases (was he looking up and to the left, or up and to the right???). Those with keen observational skills like that probably have a better idea than most do about what exactly the surprise is. I think I have a pretty good idea, but I'm keeping that to myself.

And remember, just because you join the Zoom call, doesn't mean you need to talk (other than just saying hello), if you want to just sit back and listen to the conversation, that's fine too!
