What shaving soap scent did you think you would not like but ended up loving?

For me it was Stirling's Glacial Obsidian soap and the their Black Ice witch hazel/aloe splash. It is a licorice (anise) scent, and I thought I would try the sample but expected to not care for it as a shaving scent. Boy was I wrong. I love it. Very refreshing. One of my favs that I will always replace.

After reading the reviews I expected the "old lady handbag" smell to turn me off. It turns out to be one of the most amazingly wonderful scents to my nose. It comes off as a floral but masculine scent to me. I am always going to have the soap, AS, and Cologne in my den.

It had to grow on me, but I too love it. I don't know if you have already seen this, but I recently broke down difference in scents of the products
