I have not been in the straight shaving game in quite some time. In my heyday, I had a crazy collection with multiple strops (even had a kanayama strop for awhile - yes it was worth the hype and cost. i believe i had a 6500 or 8000). If I wanted to get back into the game, would it be wise to just start off with a tony miller strop (assuming hes still in the game) or have there been other players in the past 5 years?
If you have a cheapo or neglected one, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands. Maybe strike a trade or a deal.
I have around 6 straights now and all of them need a little TLC. This is definitely less than the 40+ I used to carry. Some were just obnoxious but beautiful - definitely more museum, collector worthy.
