My parents were much more thoughtful and planning than I. I got, and still get, an ornament every year from them since I was born. While I lived with them, each got labeled with the year. So it's still cool to be able to put on ornaments that I know have been on the tree for x number of years.

And this one is still on my parents’ tree. I don’t think they let kids make ornaments out of ashtrays anymore
