Soap Commander

So I don't really want to start a rumor mill. And the original post that Darren posted on the facebook page was taken down. So I don't remember what it was verbatim. HOWEVER it said something along that lines that he (Darren) had made some decisions that he is not proud of, and it put his family, marriage, and faith at risk, and therefore he is stepping away from Soap Commander and Carrie is taking over all aspects of the business.

There are many theories floating out there about what happened. And I am sure that if you really want to, that you can connect the dots. I personally will not pass judgment and just hope for the best for Carrie, the children, and Darren. I hope that whatever happened it can make them all stronger.
 
Didn't intend to start a rumor or sling mud. Just knew I could get a mature answer to where the company stood here rather thrn elsewhere. Well said Chad. I hope whatever mistakes that were made can be mended for all involved and wish them all the best!!

Thanks Dave. And I don't think you were starting a 'rumor mill' in fact the facebook announcement happened a couple weeks ago. And I thought about posting something here, but then they took it down. So I figured I would respect their decision to communicate it how they see fit. After All these are humans and the deserve to be treated as such. Carrie included a vague statement in the email that went out yesterday or the day before so I suspected a thread would be started. I hope that I provided with the info that I know. I have also talked to some members privately about the matter.

All I will say is this... what allegedly happened because we don't know the full story has NOT changed my opinion of the Soap Commander brand. Carrie makes great soap, great aftershave, and I will continue to use and purchase the product.
 
Agreed, I don't need or want to know what their personal life details are. What is there personal business should remain such. Nice to know Carrie will keep the company going forward.
 
SC is a great soap indeed!

But I don't understand why they even thought to disclose what they did. They are not a listed company and have no disclosure obligations. Would have been better to not have said anything IMO.
 
I agree Nav, probibaly would have been better if they didnt mention any private problems they may be having.

OTOH they say there is no such thing as bad publicity (similar case with PAA) and even negative information still draws attention to the brand.

Perhaps Darren felt obligated to disclose information in order to move forward. Soap Commander has build a brand on Intregrity, Trust, Commitment, Love, Courage, Respect, Fortitude, Etc. And these are qualities of respectable people. Whatever happened i hope SC can move forward from this situation. A while back their son was hospitalized and in critical condition, despite the hardships they never skipped a beat. They have certainly had their fair share of trials and tribulations, and wish them the best in all endevors. They are great people that make great products and have been very supportive of the community, hopefully the community will return the favor during troubled times.

I don't know them personally but I do hope the brand continues as the soap is really great stuff!!

There are so many good veggie soaps on the market now and SC is definitely one of them! I never miss tallow when I use it.
