Silky smooth grape goodness

I have been sick with the flu for the past 4 days and I haven’t felt like shaving...sinful!
Tonight I felt like I needed to mow.

So I decided to pull out a new soap CBL Grape Soda.
It was exactly what I needed for this shave.
The smell was perfect for a pick me up, the lather was rich and fluffy, and it was really slick.

I used two razors
Gillette New Short comb - used on the initial pass to remove most of the hair
Merkur 34C - as the clean up (only other razor that I currently own)
both razors had a Personna Lab Blue blade. However the Gillette had a Russian and the 34C had the American version.

Both worked extremely well and I finished a nice long relaxing shave.
finished the shave with some witch hazel, clubman vanilla, and then some nivea balm.

only thing that could have made this better would be to have some grape soda aftershave!

It’s a strange smell to smell when you are shaving...that’s for sure!

I feel your flu-ish pain, glad you were able to power through a shave. The grape soda was @cvargo’s idea, it turns out it was a pretty good one.
