I’m hoping to be able to leverage The Cadre’s I global reach to help me plan a trip to Australia later this year. Specifically, I need some help planning some activities in the Brisbane area. So if any of our Austrian members can pop in with some suggestions (here in the thread or even via PM) I’d appreciate it. Our group is going to be 9-11 people (some are only going to Sydney with us while the rest of us are spending a few extra days in Brisbane. Most of our questions are about the Brisbane area but I’m sure we’ll have some questions about Sydney too.
My wife is the official travel planner but when I mentioned the Cadre had a few Australian members I might be able to press for input she was more than willing to rattle off a few things I should ask.
Like… when taking CityCat are there any stops you would recommend we (as tourists) make sure to visit or be sure to avoid?
The Train. She was thinking we could take it to or from the airport and our hotel (king George square area) but has also been looking at arranging a van. The cost is basically the same so it’s more about ease, safety, etc. any thoughts? Anything else about using the train we should know?
She is planning on all of us going to Eat Street on Friday. I think the plan is for us to take the CityCat to and from there. Sounds really exciting but also sounds like it would be very busy. Anything we should now about this part of the adventure?
We are of course visiting the zoo, but she has arranged the bus etc for that AND apparently she made arrangements to hold/pet Koalas for a few of us. I don’t think she has any questions about any of this part.
On a side note, I’m working on finding the vendor I used to get my Black Rose Oud fragrance oil from. If I can find them I will be attempting to buy it and have it shipped to one of our hotels or a shipping service. They stopped shipping to the US so being able to get my hands on it again would be cool.
