Shaving in space

Some of you my recall my interest in the Techmatic started when I was told that’s what I saw in the Air & Space museum this summer. I ended up getting a couple and come cartridges to give them a try. I was curious if there was more I formation and came across this link that some of you might find an interesting read.

Interesting article. I found that since the Techmatic was used on the Apollo missions, that many eBay sellers list it as an Apollo razor.

Cool find and interesting read! I’m not sure if a chunk of it is speculation, but I’d think many of the early flights that could have yet didn’t shave were probably warned of possible resulting issues and got freaked out, so refraining.

The Techmatic is a pretty perfect 'space shaving razor", the cartridge is solidly affixed and everything its totally self contained. As KJ has mentioned, it is also fairly mild so risk of little nicks etc would be minimal. Pretty cool stuff.
