Sorry all...I am a little late on this one. But no need to worry...I have your new shave themes right here.

I know a lot of you really like to to the SE September and the Speiktember thing, so I thought we can make it part of the shave theme. So for the month of September Show off your SE razors and use your Speik products. Additionally...summer is almost at an end...well the summer heat at least...so lets finish up our summer soaps and aftershaves that we love to use!

Featured Artisans this month are Saponificio Varesino and Stirling Soap Company. Since those who were in on the SV Brush Group buy...this is a place you can show it off in your shaves if you would like! Additionally...we are featuring Stirling Soap Company...always a pillar of the wet shaving community...Stirling Soap Company is a big supporter of The Shaving Cadre.

So...go forth and Shave!

Thanks Don for keeping up with this. I got your SE today

The Ultimate Aftershave: Stirling Soap Company - Boat Drinks

Pulled out a New to me soap and aftershave this morning...Stirling Boat Drinks. The scent on this soap is as advertised. If you want to transform your morning shave to the smells of sitting on a beach and drinking your favorite umbrella drink...then this is the soap aftershave set for you. Maybe it doesn't smell like any one particular beach drink...but it smells like a lot of them. It's definitely a summertime scent and a relaxing one at that.

Three passes with the trusty old Progress and man did I feel smooth. It wasn't until a healthy "glug" of aftershave that I realized it might have been too smooth. No worries...I still smell great!

St. Barts fits the theme as well!

I used Speick for the first time ever today and I am totally impressed. I need to use it a few more times, but I think it might be an Elite Tier soap for me. I think this is going to be a good month for me!
I have never used Speick myself. Maybe I should pick some up before the end of the month.

Speicktember, Speicapalooza

Speicapalooza indeed!

Getting in some final chilly shaves before the weather starts to turn here in Chicagoland. Been loving Captain's Choice Nor'easter soap this summer and will definitely be picking up a bottle of the splash next summer.

Great shave today! Nice return to Stirling's "Piacenza" soap. My favorite from them.

Great shave today. Been a while since I'd used Stirling's "Barbershop" and I had forgotten what a great scent it was. My RazoRock Game Changer should be in today. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow.

Hope you have a great day!

Back to the SE and I have no finer an SE in my collection than the Colonial General SS. I love my DE’s but the General covers a lot real estate quickly and smoothly. My preferred AC blade is the Schick ProLine but the Feather Pro is also quite good in this razor and so so I loaded a fresh one today.

Soap of choice HetV Terre d’Henri which is a earthy scent and a blend of citrus and spice. One of my favourite soaps from HetV and it lathers quite well and provides a lovely slick shave. Plus for me is that they are a Canadian artisan and so extra points in my books. Wish they came in a larger size tub but today I used my Simpson Special in Best and had no issues loading up a healthy amount of soap despite its small size.

Lovely and easy three pass shave and BBS achieved. The General is just a fantastic shaver and the Feather was smooth and sharp. Just perfect. Finished off with the matching balm and some Guerlain L’Homme Ideal to keep to the scent profile. Excellent shave all around. Enjoy the day!
